Our second route stays to the west of Shaftesbury and is rather less hilly though there is a little more off-road cycling. Take care descending the long hill to Motcombe - the road is narrow and the surface is uneven. The first of the off-road sections starts at point 9 on the route - a Road used as a Public Path taking you to the B3081.
