Shaftesbury has many events to keep visitors and residents alike occupied. Regular events include the yearly Gold Hill Fair, The Shaftesbury Food Festival, The Great Dorset Steam Fair and the Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show. This year's Shaftesbury Carnival takes place on 29th September 2007.
